The Caring Collaborative Provides:
A concerned person to pick you up after a medical procedure--or escort you to it:;
Relief from the stress of wondering who will care for you after a hospital visit: The CC provides a safety net of peers who will shop for you, pick up a prescription, look in on you to see what you need, provide companionship if you want it;
A caring person to share information about health experiences: medical diagnoses and conditions, outstanding health care providers, and medical products/devices;
Another set of eyes and ears at a doctor's visit, to help you digest the information and ask the right questions;
The chance to participate in a CC neighborhood group, where members exchange knowledge and practical information, meet new people, and listen to health experts;
Better health and quality of life: emerging research shows that social ties can help people live longer, stave off memory loss and improve chronic disease care.
